This Gets Me…so often
We think we have broken things beyond repair. We’ve missed the boat, the bus and the train when in reality there are many paths with unseen opportunities lying ahead of us. But…
We can’t see them because we are stuck looking back at all the opportunities we missed, messed up, broke, squandered, etc.
Those opportunities may be about relationships, taking a stand, speaking out, encouraging someone, loving others…even following Jesus and the life He has told us to live.
There is surely a future hope for you…
But know this…God is not limited or restricted in what He can do in and through us. Missed an opportunity? Messed one up? God will provide another as He leads you.
So wherever you are in life today, consider the image above and look at all the paths that lie ahead. Then put the path already traveled where it belongs…in the past. It’s history!
Consider this, “God wants us to take the reality of the present and look to the possibility of the future.” 1
And your hope will not be cut off. 2
Even now, in this very moment, you might be exactly where you are supposed to be…where God wants you to be…so that you can go forth and accomplish the very thing you were sent here to do.
Remember…the enemy wants us focused on our past. But God calls us to look to the future.
Believe – Decide – Persist!
