Ciloa...Encouraging one another as long as it is called Today!
Who We Are
Ciloa is technically a ministry, but it's more of a 'work in progress'. We are ordinary people who believe in Jesus as the Son of God and follow His words that we love one another. At the very core of this command is the call for all Christians to encourage one another. And that's what we do - share God's love by encouraging others and by teaching them how to become encouragers.
How do we do this? Over the years we have developed special publications and programs to carry out our mission. These include The Encourager Walk seminar series, Notes of Encouragement weekly emails, and our recent publications, A Year of Encouragement and Another Year of Encouragement, each containing a year's worth of Notes for study and devotions. And, of course, we speak at churches, ministry functions, conventions, association meetings, and just about any place they'll have us.
We are constantly exploring new ideas and areas of encouragement. These come from within Ciloa as well as from those who participate in our programs, buy our materials, and read our publications. They often join in the development of new material, as has been the case with our Encouraging Guides section and Special Prayer Lists. This continuing search for new and better ways to encourage others keeps us a 'work in progress'. And with the help of our many friends, we don't expect, or want, that to ever change.
Ciloa stands for Christ Is Lord Of All. We unashamedly believe this, so we reach out to everyone. And in order to minister to the entire Body of Christ, we are not formally aligned with any one denomination or association. Our founder, Chuck Graham, has spoken at conferences, led seminars and ministered to churches, ministries, and organizations of many different denominations as well as those of non-denominational and inter-denominational callings.
Since our beginning, our Board of Directors has brought together a mixture of Christian backgrounds: Southern Baptist, Independent Baptist, United Methodist, Presbyterian-PCA, Independent Christian, Assembly of God, Missionary Alliance, and Willow Creek Association. Our Notes of Encouragement carry on this broad outreach, finding their way into 163 countries as well as the following churches: Anglican, Assembly of God, Catholic, Charismatic, Christian Methodist Episcopal, Church of Christ, Church of God, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Disciples of Christ, Episcopalian, Foursquare, Free Methodist, Full Gospel, Independent Baptist, Independent Christian, Independent Evangelical, Lutheran (General, ELCA, & Missouri Synod), Missionary Alliance, Missionary Baptist, National Baptist, Presbyterian (PCA), Presbyterian (PC-USA), Presbyterian (Reformed), Southern Baptist, United Methodist, Vineyard, and many nondenominational and interdenominational churches.
