Military Prayer List Operation Enduring Freedom
May the one true God, who gives endurance and encouragement, give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus ,so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:5-6
Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray for these men and women serving in the military during this most dangerous time. We pray that they will know You are with them, that You care for them and their families, and that in the dark and stressful days that lie ahead, they will have the courage and resolve to do their duty to You and country. We pray also for the wives, husbands, children, parents, brothers, sisters, and other loved ones left behind, that they may have comfort in Your peace, trust in Your sovereign will, and find the faith and strength to carry on. And we also pray for the leaders of these men and women, that You will grant them your wisdom and discernment as they make the daily decisions that affect the many lives that serve under them.
Selfishly, boldly, and without any shame, regret or hesitation, we pray for the safe return of these men and women and their reunion with family and friends. But above all, as your children, with one heart, mind, soul, and voice, and yes, we admit, also with some fear that comes from not knowing what lies ahead, we look to You and pray that Your will be done in our country, wherever that may be, and throughout the world.
Be with us now, dear Father, for many are alone and afraid. Amen.
