History and Founder

For many years Charles B. Graham, whose law practice has included representing Christian organizations and businesses, spoke and taught in churches and at various Christian events. During this time, he found many churches and ministries struggling to show themselves as a fellowship of believers who truly cared for those around them. The problem, he discovered, was that many simply do not understand how to encourage and edify others.

As a result, Mr. Graham wrote Take the Stand, which was published by Broadman Holman Publishers in 1996. In this book, he challenges Christians to consider carefully what it means to follow Jesus -- and how their Christian witness affects those around them. He also developed material which he shared with churches and ministries in an effort to teach Christians how to strengthen, encourage and comfort one another, with careful instruction in the areas of confrontation and reconciliation.

Realizing that the need for instruction in Christian Encouragement was greater than one person could meet, he decided a more organized effort was necessary to effectively carry on the work. So, on July 23, 1997, Mr. Graham became the Founder and Executive Director of a new ministry, Ciloa, dedicated to the encouragement of all Christians and standing for the declaration that, above all else...
